Sometimes I’m Ok” accepted in the prestigious United Solo Festival 2017

NEW YORK—Get ready to laugh until you cry or cry until you laugh as celebrated area comedian Randi Simon Lupo brings her intensely funny yet insightful one-woman show to the United Solo Festival 2017.

Three years in the making, “Sometimes I’m Ok” takes a fresh, upbeat and totally unique look at what it took for a woman to follow her dreams and the many pitfalls lying in wait along the way that could have derailed them.

The Brooklyn-born Lupo, who was once married to a rock and roll roadie, sees the personal toll that real life experiences and relationships can take as both gut-wrenching and revealing but also redemptive, with laughter always the saving grace.

“There’s healing in laughter,” she said. “But the process begins with the courage and honesty to look deep within and confront the truth and then the ability to realize how absurd and totally comical things can really be. That’s what this show is all about – how what’s so real can be so ridiculous.”

“Sometimes I’m Ok” is slated for Wednesday November 1st, 2017 at 3:30 pm at the Studio Theatre of Theatre Row 407 West 41st St, New York NY 10036. The show is directed by Karen Case Cook.

Lupo appears regularly as a featured performer on the Northeast comedy club circuit and has played Comix at Foxwoods, The New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, The Metropolitan Room and Catch a Rising Star – Princeton.
